Sushumna Chapel A Spiritual Way of Living A Creative Way of Life

Is a Unique Online Chapel that has been inspired by the Life Guidance and the Spiritual Teachings given to us by Paramhansa Yogananda and Swami Kriyananda who became a Direct Disciple of Paramhansa Yogananda.

Our Three Commitments:

Commitment One

Our aim is to welcome you with an online presence to help you in your search for God’s Love. So that you feel and know that you are not alone, that you have freedom, personal choice, and that your individuality is respected and honoured.

Commitment Two

Our primary purpose is to share the message of God’s Love for All Through the Teachings of Christianity, Hinduism and Creativity.

Commitment Three

Our aim is to offer support and develop a loving community of kindred spirits.

Our Mission:

Sushumna Chapel honours a Vowed Way of Living and the Healing Stories and Journeys of people’s lives. To promote a Vowed Way of Living every year the Members of our Community will participate in a Vow Taking Ceremony.

To improve our Health and Well-Being Sushumna Chapel uses Sacred Techniques and Tools by Paramhansa Yogananda and Swami Kriyananda such as Prayers, Meditation, Chanting, Healing Prayers, Affirmations, the Intuition, Art and Poetry, for developing a relationship with God, Healing, Personal Expression, Personal and Spiritual Development to create a Mindful Spiritual Practice.

We also celebrate Death because we believe that it makes life possible. We are inclusive and welcome all sincere seekers, regardless of race, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, or disability.

The Great Masters

Throughout Sushumna Chapel, you will see an altar or pictures of five Great Masters of Self-Realization who we pray to, who help inspire and guide us on our spiritual path. Their images remind us that we can experience God-Consciousness and God’s Love when we offer ourselves to them as our Divine Friends.

Paramhansa Yogananda developed deep relationships with each Master where he displayed their pictures in all of his Self-Realisation Centres and Churches. Swami Kriyananda also did the same for all of Ananda Sangha Worldwide Centres and Ananda Village. You can find more information about the Masters below and in Paramhansa Yogananda's book Autobiography of a Yogi.

As Sushumna Chapel is inclusive and welcomes all faith paths we also invite the God of your understanding and the language of your heart.
